The Love of God

The sun, it rises by His grace,
A guiding hand both near and far.
Each star in night knows its own place.

The smallest seed, the wind’s embrace,
He tends each bloom, both bright and mar.
The sun, it rises by His grace.

No sparrow falls but through His gaze,
Each breath we take, no life bizarre.
Each star in night knows its own place.

Through seas He calms and skies He lays,
His love, it stretches where we are.
The sun, it rises by His grace.

No joy too small, no pain erased,
His care is vast, no space ajar.
Each star in night knows its own place.

Each heart, He holds in warm embrace,
With endless love, our bright North Star.
The sun, it rises by His grace,
Each star in night knows its own place.

Meaning

This poem celebrates the all-encompassing love of God, a force that governs both the vastness of the universe and the smallest moments of life. Through imagery of stars, seeds, and sparrows, it shows how God’s care extends from the grand to the tiny, holding everything together with unceasing love.

Inspiration Behind

I wrote this poem thinking about how everything in life, big or small, feels touched by something greater. I see God’s hand in the rising sun, the stars, and even in little things like flowers and birds. The structure of the villanelle felt perfect to repeat the feeling of steady care and endless love.

You say I’ll be okay,That you’re here to stay. You say you love me,That you’re dreaming of a we.How can you still believe? How do you know I won’t leave? How can you have such hope? How can we walk this tightrope?I want you more than anything,But this would just be a fling. For now I’ll keep this inside,And let…

    Birds and the Bees

In fields of green, the bees hum low,Beneath the sun’s warm, gentle glow.Birds take flight into the sky,With wings spread wide, they soar high.In petals deep, where secrets lie,The bees’ soft buzz becomes a sigh. The world in motion, day by day,Nature’s dance, in bright array.Feathers brush against the air,In songs of freedom, without care. While bees…

    My Mom is My Hero

Cap and cape, she wears none, yet her feats, daily done.In her eyes, galaxies spin, worlds of wisdom, deep within. Her laughter, a fortress high, shields me when tears are nigh.Hands, though gentle, fiercely guard, each scar a story, each line hard-earned.She fights battles, not with swords, but with words, kind and sure.At day’s end, when shadows creep, her hug’s a haven,…
