Reflections in the Ripple

In a pond, where lilies lay afloat,
A little frog with a croaking note,
Pondered life in his watery realm,
Under the shade of an ancient elm.

His world, a mirror of sky and tree,
Ripples telling tales of what could be,
Each wave, a whisper from wind's soft lips,
Carrying dreams on its fleeting trips.

"Am I but a croak in the night's song?
Or do I to some greater tale belong?"
He asked the stars, in their distant glow,
Seeking truths only night skies know.

With each leap, a new circle born,
In water's embrace, his thoughts were torn,
"Am I the ripple or the calm within?
The echoed sound, or the song's begin?"

In reflections, he sought his role,
In nature's grand and timeless scroll,
From ripple to pond, to the endless sea,
In each drop, a part of eternity.

Inspirations Behind

As I wrote “Reflections in the Ripple“, I was inspired by the tranquil imagery of a pond and the simplicity of a frog’s life. I imagined a solitary frog, its voice a part of the night’s symphony, questioning its significance in the world. The pond, with its reflective surface, became a metaphor for introspection and the ripples, a symbol of the impact of our actions and thoughts. I wanted to capture the essence of self-reflection and the realization that every creature, no matter how small, plays a role in the universe’s grand narrative.
